Yao Ming, 7 times All Star had surgery yesterday on his broken foot.The surgery took place in Memorial Hermann Hospital, it was performed by Dr. Tom Clanton, the Houston Rockets' team physician.
Team representative stated "Everything went according to play, and we were able to achieve not only fixation of the broken bone but also realignment of the bones to improve the stress pattern on his foot"
The doctor expect Yao to remain in the hospital for a few days. He will be on crutches for about 8 weeks.
Yao will be missing the upcoming season, but will be expected to be ready for training camp in 2010.
Hopefully the 7 foot 6 won't will recover fast and stay healthy for the rest of his basketball career.
